The newborn stage<\/u><\/a> is often described as a magical time\u2014a fleeting blur of intoxicating baby head smells and love-rush-hormones. It\u2019s also a time when your potential as a parent<\/u><\/a> is virtually untainted. After all, the needs are simple\u2014feed, clean, nurture, repeat\u2014and you haven\u2019t royally screwed up yet\u2026at least, not that you know of. <\/p>\n But is it really that magical? Or is that nostalgic feeling parents having while looking back at baby photos simply an example of euphoric recall<\/u><\/a>? <\/p>\n It certainly hasn\u2019t been sunshine and roses for one frustrated mom of two, currently being put through the ringer again with a 10-week-old and wondering if she\u2019s alone in thinking \u201cI cannot wait for newborn time to be over.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cCan I please ask parents who have kids who are older this question\u2026 do you actually miss the newborn stage if you didn\u2019t like being in it?,\u201d she began in a Reddit post<\/u><\/a>. <\/p>\n She also explained that, \u201cOnce my first born was 5-6 months old I felt like I was more able to understand a little more of what she was trying to say.
