Al Pacino<\/a> has opened up on his near-death experience with Covid-19<\/a> as he \u2018didn\u2019t have a pulse\u2019 during a medical emergency.<\/p>\n

The Hollywood legend, 84, said that in 2020 his heart stopped briefly after he became unwell during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

In a new interview, the Scarface actor talked about the \u2018absurd\u2019 and \u2018crazy\u2019 concept of ageing, and that he didn\u2019t really know what it meant.<\/p>\n

\u2018I sometimes think, Why can\u2019t I find some steroids that won\u2019t kill me? I took some when I had bad Covid,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

Recalling the terrifying medical emergency, he told The New York Times: \u2018They said my pulse was gone. It was so \u2014 you\u2019re here, you\u2019re not. <\/p>\n

\u2018I thought: \u201cWow, you don\u2019t even have your memories. You have nothing. Strange porridge.\u201d\u2018<\/p>\n

He said his temperature spiked and he developed a fever while becoming severely dehydrated as a result of the illness, forcing The Godfather<\/a> actor to hire a nurse to help him.<\/p>\n

\u2018I got someone to get me a nurse to hydrate me. I was sitting there in my house, and I was gone. Like that. I didn\u2019t have a pulse,\u2019 he continued. <\/p>\n

\u2018In a matter of minutes they were there \u2013 the ambulance in front of my house.\u2019<\/p>\n

Pacino said there were six paramedics and two doctors in his home, saying they looked like they were from \u2018outer space.\u2019<\/p>\n

The experience forced the Hollywood icon to reflect, and he concluded that it could improve his work as an actor.<\/p>\n

\u2018As Hamlet says, \u201cTo be or not to be\u201d; \u201cThe undiscovered country from whose bourn, no traveller returns.\u201d And he says two words: \u201cNo more.\u201d It was no more. You\u2019re gone,\u2019 he chillingly said. <\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019d never thought about it in my life. But you know actors: It sounds good to say I died once. What is it when there\u2019s no more?\u2019<\/p>\n

His admission comes after the acting legend welcomed his fourth child, Roman<\/a>, with girlfriend Noor Alfallah,<\/a> 30, in November.<\/p>\n

Soon after, Alfallah filed for joint legal custody of their child<\/a> when he was three months old, with them eventually reaching an agreement which sees Pacino paying $30,000 (\u00a324,000) in child support, an amount that could grow based on his annual earnings.<\/p>\n

Despite the ruling, a representative for Pacino stated that the couple were still together<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Al and Noor have successfully worked together and have mutually reached agreements regarding their child, Roman,\u2019 the representative told the New York Post newspaper\u2019s Page Six column. \u2018They are still together.\u2019<\/p>\n

Oscar winner Al is already dad to Julie, 34, with ex Jan Tarrant, and to twins Anton and Olivia, 23, with Beverly D\u2019Angelo.<\/p>\n
